My First Fascinator
A Beginner Class
Small head pieces continue to hold their place in the contemporary fashion vocabulary. Whether they are worn at the racecourse or for a wedding, these little titfers are an expression of happiness and celebration. This one-day class will guide the first-timer through creating a simple shaped head piece and methods of fabric covering. Particular emphasis will be placed on making a self-fabric trimming that moves beyond the corniness of a bow or flower. Use of veiling will also be included.
Specific materials to bring for this class:
• half metre or a good-sized scrap of suitable material - silk or satin
• 2 metres of veiling
• half a metre of 15mm petersham ribbon
Base will be provided.
